Privacy Policy

Mingleview is a peer to peer based meeting software. With this approach, minimal computing power needed to exchange meeting data. Here meeting data includes screen sharing, desktop/mobile streaming, voice, video & participants name. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our software (collectively referred to as our “Services”).

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the practise of collection, usage and sharing of information.

Information Collection and Use

Mingleview accesses computer desktop screen, microphone , camera data and relays to the other participants of the meeting. Data hereafter refers to screen pixels & audio/video data. Participants referred here are users who have joined a meeting session with a given unique id. App has two modes of operation: 1) Each participant is connected peer to peer with other participants after introduction, by mingleview servers 2) If peer to peer connection is not feasible, data between participants are relayed through servers. Participants have the option to disable the second mode of operation. None of the participant data is stored in servers. Relay servers log the IP address of participants for troubleshooting purposes. We do not collect any personal information about the participants except the participant name which is stored in the participant’s desktop local folder . Personal info means personally identifiable information such as your email address, physical address, calendar entries, contacts, files, photos, etc. None of the information in servers are shared with any third party.

Data Storage

All the data are processed and rendered locally on your device. Our server just relays data & no data is stored in our servers. Non-personal information we collect about you may include the internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using, the date and time you access the Services and other associated information. The Services and any emails sent to you by the Services (or otherwise by us) may utilize cookies, web beacons, embedded scripts, or similar technologies that automatically collect such information about you. This information is used for troubleshooting & providing better service. It's not shared with any third party.

Security

Meeting ID generated is cryptographically generated & expires within an half hour of creation. So it's not possible for uninvited persons to join a session. We take reasonable measures to protect all data processed in our server any personal information we may hold about you in an effort to prevent loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update the Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
